About me
I am a research and teaching associate at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering, Wroclaw University of Technology. In January 2008, I completed and defended my Ph.D. thesis on issues related to heat transfer processes during freezing and thawing of food products and prototypes of thermal insulation with application as a packaging material. Currently, I am employed at the Department of Energy Conversion Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering. In February 2023r, I was appointed by the JM Rector of Wroclaw University of Technology as the Accessibility Leader at Wroclaw University of Technology. In November 2023r, I was awarded the title of Internal Trainer at the Wroclaw University of Technology, participating in the task "School of Educational Leaders", which is part of the MEiN project "Didactic Excellence of Higher Education Institutions" under Measure 3.4 "Management in Higher Education Institutions", supervised by the Center for Didactic Excellence at the Wroclaw University of Technology. Since January 2024, after graduating from the XXV School of Tutors, I have been a certified tutor implementing academic and/or developmental tutoring process with students.
My research interests include issues related to
- Additive technology (3D printing) using materials based on plastics, biodegradable plastics and metals,
- Numerical modeling of heat transfer in prototype thermal insulations (made by 3D printing technology, among others) and heat exchangers
- Refrigeration (numerical modeling of food freezing and thawing processes).
I am guest editor for the following special issues:
- Design of Multifunctional Composites and Their 3D-Printing Technology:
